Hello Residents of Bordesley Green,
We hope you have had a pleasant week so far. The weather has certainly turned around, with strong rain and even thunder! It has been an incredibly busy 6 days, so we have been able to fit in some proactive work where we can.
Lets have a look at what has been happening over the past 6 days.
Cuppa With A Copper: PC Johnson attended Cuppa with a Copper, which is a regular and informal meeting between officers and local residents of Bordesley Green. An officer will usually make themselves available to residents for any issues they want to raise about their area and how we can help improve it. Keep an eye out on our X page for any future events. Residents Meeting: PC Sutheran attended a residents meeting at a hot spot area within Bordesley Green. There was a really good turnout from residents and some fantastic ideas were shared.
We would now like to highlight some crimes of note:
Possession of an offensive weapon in a private place: We have seen a slight increase in the possession of offensive weapons at home addresses/private places. An offensive weapon is any item which is made/adapted/intended to be used to injury another person. This includes items such as zombie knifes and knuckle dusters. This is a serious criminal offence which will be proactively targeted when identified. Please ensure that such items are not present in your home. If in doubt, please ensure you conduct a thorough investigation into an item before you decide to borrow/store/purchase it.
Theft: We have received numerous reports of theft within the local community over the last 6 days. Theft is an offence which can have a lasting emotional and financial impact on its victims. We encourage the local community to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings when outside of the home address. Please ensure all valuables are kept safely and securely stored, and report any suspicious activity to police.
Please continue to keep yourself safe within the community. Report any suspicious activity to us via the appropriate channels.
